Sam Seawright captures $12,000 Bama Bash with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series
Right back in action with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series, Sam Seawright and his Troy Baird Racing team followed the tour to Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for the Bama Bash doubleheader weekend.
With 50 Super Late Model teams signed in for Friday's $8,000-to-win opener, Seawright picked up a heat race victory and recorded a seventh-place outing in the 40-lap main event.
As the field bolstered to 53 entries for Saturday's finale, Sam clicked off the fastest lap in his time trial group before he once again grabbed a heat race victory. Seawright redrew the pole position for the $12,000-to-win feature and led wire-to-wire in the 50-lapper to score his third-career series victory. Seawright held off his teammate Michael Page and Ryan Gustin to score the biggest win of his career.
Seawright is currently fifth in the HTFSDS Point Standings.
