Heartbreak for Sam Seawright in Spring Nationals show at Rockcastle Speedway

Tackling a doubleheader through Kentucky, Sam Seawright followed the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals to Rockcastle Speedway (Mount Vernon, Ky.) on Friday evening for a $7,553-to-win main event.

Laying down the second-fastest lap in his qualifying group, Seawright started third in the 40-lap main event and ran down Garrett Smith for the lead. He and Smith battled back and forth for multiple laps before Seawright slipped and smacked the outside wall. Sam was able to rally and finish 10th.

Seawright finished out the weekend at Lake Cumberland Speedway (Somerset, Ky.) on Saturday with a 14th-place outing in the $10,053-to-win feature.
