Seawright enjoys successful Hunt the Front weekend; podium finish at Sugar Creek Raceway
Headed to the Appalachian Mountains for the weekend, Sam Seawright checked in with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series for the doubleheader at Sugar Creek Raceway (Blue Ridge, Ga.) and Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.).
With 33 Late Models on hand for night one, Seawright qualified third-quickest in his group before finishing second in a heat race. Sam started sixth in the $8,000-to-win opener and drove to a podium finish in third. He trailed Jimmy Owens and Dale McDowell while Zack Mitchell and Trey Mills completed the Top-5.
The following night for the $15,000-to-win King of the Mountain, Sam started the 50-lap feature from the fifth-row and recorded a Top-10 in ninth.
Seawright is now fourth in the HTFSDS point standings.
