Seawright third in Labor Day special at Duck River
Sam Seawright began his busy Labor Day weekend at Rome (Ga.) Speedway on Saturday afternoon for the $15,000-to-win Rome Boss with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series.
Among 26 Late Models checked in, Seawright went out late in qualifying and was unable to record a decent lap. After retiring from his heat race, Sam loaded up early and called it a night.
Traveling to Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tenn.) overnight, Sam was one of 26 entries at the track for Sam Pugh Memorial. Following a runner-up finish in his heat, Seawright gained three positions to sit on the podium in third. He trailed Christian Hanger and Jadon Frame while Jay Scott and Heath Hindman completed the Top-5.
