Seawright records pair of Top-10 finishes with Comp Cams at Magnolia
Returning to the track after a few weekends off, Sam Seawright invaded Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) for the first night of the Cotton Pickin' 100 with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series.
Among a strong field of 46 Late Models, Seawright recorded the eighth-fastest lap in his group before moving forward two spots to finish runner-up in his heat race. For Friday's $4,000-to-win feature, Sam wheeled his way into the Top-5 in fifth.
With another complete show on tap Saturday evening, Sam once again finished second in his heat race which earned him a fourth row starting position in the 60-lap main event. With a $12,000-to-win payday on the line, Seawright ran as high as third before settling for a sixth-place finish.
Sam Seawright will join the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series this weekend at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for a doubleheader weekend.
