Sam Seawright lands Sunshine Nationals semi-feature victory at Volusia Speedway Park

Taking part in the Crate Racin' USA portion of the weekend, Sam Seawright piloted a No. 18X 604 Late Model at Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, Fla.) on Friday afternoon to kick off the DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals.

With a whopping 75 entries on site, Seawright qualified sevneth-fastest in his group which placed him on the second-row of the first preliminary feature. Sam made quick work of his competition and took the lead on lap one. Seawright dominated the 15-lap feature and took home the checkered flag.

For Saturday's $10,000-to-win finale, Sam started third in the 50-lap feature and led briefly before giving up the top spot to Ethan Wilson. Seawright ran in the Top-5 before a late spin relegated him to an 11th-place finish.
