Seawright runs into bad luck during Cotton Pickin' at Magnolia Motor Speedway

Sam Seawright unloaded his No. 16 machine at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) among a field of 42 Super Late Models to kick off the two-day Cotton' Pickin with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series on Friday night.

Grabbing quicktime honors in his qualifying group, Seawright drove to a heat race victory which locked up the pole position for Saturday's $20,000-to-win finale. Sam started off strong in the 60-lapper and led a few laps before mechanical issues sidelined him. He was scored 22nd in the final running order.
