Seawright runner-up in The Big Deal at Duck River; pockets $2,000 in prelim victory

Sticking close to home over the weekend, Sam Seawright swapped out his open motor for a 602 Late Model powerplant and rolled into Duck River Raceway Park (Shelbyville, Tenn.) for the $10,000-to-win 602 Late Model Big Deal.

On preliminary night, Seawright qualified second-fastest in his group and went from fourth-to-first in the 30-lap feature and outdueled Jadon Frame for the $2,000 payday. Sam then set quicktime among the 40-car entries and earned the pole position for the finale on Saturday. Leading early in the feature, Sam went to the tail of the field and came all the way back to the runner-up spot behind Logan Bradford.
