Sam Seawright captures back-to-back Ice Bowl victories at Talladega Short Track
Kicking off 2026 with his usual trip to the Ice Bowl, Sam Seawright rolled into Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) on Friday afternoon aboard his brother's Mach X Chassis for the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series-sanctioned Ice Bowl.
Clocking in fastest out of the 33 entries that were on hand, Seawright went on to pick up a heat race win and start on the pole of Saturday's finale. Sam held the lead for the entirety of the 50-lap main event and outpaced Dalton Cook to take home the checkered flag. Earning his first-career Southern Thunder triumph, Seawright and his team took home $7,500 for their efforts.
