Podium finish at I-75 Raceway during Spring Nationals tripleheader
Sam Seawright checked into I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) on Thursday evening for the first of three nights with the Schaeffer's Oil Spring National Series.
With just under 30 entries on hand, Seawright locked himself into the $5,053-to-win main event through qualifying and started 10th on the grid. Sam charged forward into the Top-5 and eventually landed on the podium in third.
The following night at Wythe Raceway (Rural Retreat, Va.), Seawright fought a mechanical issue and finished 10th. Sam was poised for another podium finish at Tazewell (Tenn.) Speedway on Saturday before another part failure caused him to fail droop inspection. He was placed 19th in the running order.
